In the electric motorcycle market, there are "full-size" machines like the Sur-Ron Light Bee or the E-Ride Pro SR, and then there are "kids' bikes." Usually, this second category means plastic toys, limited power, and low-end components. But that was before.
We got our hands on the E-Ride Pro Mini, and after a full test in technical enduro and on a pump track, our verdict is clear: it's a true miniature war machine.
An Astonishing Spec Sheet for 49kg
What's striking from the first glance (and the first acceleration) is the disproportion between the bike's size and what it packs under the hood. E-Ride Pro made no compromises:
- Power: 6kW peak. For context, an original Light Bee has the same power but is much heavier. Here, with only 49kg, the power-to-weight ratio is explosive.
- Battery: A 60V 30Ah. This is unprecedented for a bike of this size. It's the same voltage as a Light Bee, ensuring consistent "punch" and excellent range.
- Chassis: Fastace fork and shock (like its big sister, the SR!), 4-piston hydraulic brakes, Kenda tires... This is professional-grade equipment, not a toy.
Field Test: It Climbs Trees!
We took the Mini into "real" enduro terrain, amidst roots, impossible climbs, and rocks, accompanied by an E-Ride Pro SR. The result? It goes everywhere.
Thanks to its instant torque and featherlight weight, it's incredibly easy to handle. Where a heavier bike demands physical effort, the Mini weaves through like a mountain bike. The Fastace suspensions do a remarkable job, even with an 80kg adult at the handlebars (we pushed them to their limit, and they held up!).
Pump Track & Fun: The Ultimate Toy?
It's on a Pump Track that the bike reveals its most fun side. It's a bicycle with a rocket engine. You can throw it into corners, jump, whip... The handling is instantaneous.
The only minor ergonomic flaw we noted concerns the position of the brake levers, which can be difficult to adjust perfectly for adult hands due to the handlebar's curvature. A minor detail quickly forgotten as soon as you twist the throttle.
Conclusion: Who is this bike for?
Obviously, it's the dream bike for a child (from 10-12 years old depending on skill level, because it really rips!). It's reliable, robust, and evolving.
But let's be honest: it's also the ultimate toy for adults who want to have fun in the garden, on a pit bike track, or follow their kids without bringing out the heavy artillery. It's a "guaranteed smile" machine.
