The jackshaft is the part we tend to forget about until it starts making noise or we feel suspicious play in the transmission. Just changing the bearings is often a major hassle if you don't have a workshop press. The advantage of ordering the complete original shaft is that the difficult work is already done. You remove the old axle, slide in the new one, reassemble your pulleys/sprockets, and you're back on the road with a transmission as smooth as new. It's simple and super effective.
