Tuto : Comment donner un look Motocross à votre E-Ride Pro ? (Montage Ailettes)

Tutorial: How to give your E-Ride Pro a Motocross look? (Winglet Installation)

The E-Ride Pro (whether it's the SR or the 3.0) is a formidable machine, but many riders find it has one small aesthetic flaw: the rear loop under the seat looks a bit "empty" from the factory. If you're looking to give it a truly aggressive motocross bike look, we have the perfect trick.

All you need to do is fit motocross-style side plates (wings)! Originally designed for the Sur-Ron Light Bee, they adapt perfectly to the E-Ride with a very minor modification. We'll explain how to do it in just 2 minutes.

Required Tools

Installation is a breeze. You'll only need the following tools:

  • An Allen key (for the battery cover).
  • A 10 mm socket (for the seat).
  • The side plate kit (wood screws are included).

Assembly Steps

Step 1: Remove the seat

Start by removing the top cover (in front of the seat) by taking out the 5 small screws using your Allen key. Then, use your 10 mm socket to unscrew the 4 nuts holding the seat from underneath. Lift the seat to remove it completely.

Step 2: Position the wings

Take your side plate (the wing). The rear part of the wing should gently slide under the original rear fender. The plate will naturally find its place on the side of the bike.

Tip: You can temporarily put the seat nuts back on without tightening them to secure the fender while you position the wing.

Step 3: The fastening trick

This is where our small modification comes in. Unlike the Light Bee, you won't be using a threaded insert. Take one of the wood screws provided in the pack. Hold the wing in place and screw directly, applying slight pressure, into the bike's plastic through the wing's hole. The E-Ride's plastic is soft, the screw will create its own thread and hold the plate firmly.

Step 4: Reassembly

Repeat the operation on the other side. Once both wings are securely screwed in, remove the nuts if you put them back for bracing. Reposition your seat on top. You will need to slightly spread the top of the wings with your hands so that the seat fits well inside. Put your 4 10 mm nuts back, your battery cover, and you're done!

The Result

In no time at all, the rear of your E-Ride Pro is transformed. The empty space under the seat is filled, the lines are sleeker, and the bike gains a true "factory" motocross style!
