Today, we are proud to present Version 2 (V2) of our popular frame protection bumpers for E-Ride Pro SR and SS. More robust and even easier to install, they are an essential accessory for any enduro rider.
What's new in Version 2?
The major new feature of this V2 is the integration of a specific housing for the fixing nut. Unlike the first version, the nut is now held directly by the TPU part. The result? No more struggling with a wrench to hold the nut behind the frame; assembly is much smoother, and tightening is ultra-efficient.
Installation steps
Assembly takes only a few minutes. Here's how to proceed:
1. Removal of the skid plate
To work cleanly and have full access to the frame, start by removing your skid plate. Simply unscrew the six screws located under the bike. Take the opportunity to clean the area if you're returning from a muddy ride!
2. Bumper preparation
Take your V2 bumper and insert the supplied nut into the hexagonal slot provided for this purpose. Then slide the cable tie (zip tie) into the strap passage of the bumper.
3. Attachment to the frame
Position the bumper on the frame, at the engine mounting tabs. Pass the zip tie around the frame tube and close it without fully tightening it at first. This allows you to adjust the position so that it is straight.
4. Tightening and finishing
Once properly positioned, firmly tighten the zip tie. You can now screw in the retaining screw: with the nut locked in the TPU, tightening can be done with one hand. Cut off the excess zip tie and reassemble your skid plate. Your frame is now ready for impacts!
