The ERide Pro SR is undoubtedly one of the most exciting electric motorcycles currently available. Right out of the box, it offers an impressive level of performance. But like any stock machine, there's room for improvement to specialize it and transform it into a true enduro beast. After several weeks of intensive testing, we've identified the 5 upgrades that, in our opinion, make all the difference on the trail.
Upgrade #1: Tires, the Foundation of Everything
This is the most obvious and impactful improvement. The stock trial-type tires are versatile but quickly show their limits in mud or when cornering in enduro. To unleash the bike's potential, switching to real enduro tires is essential. We opted for an ultra-effective combo:
- Front: The 19-inch Yuanxing tire offers excellent directional grip.
- Rear: The 18-inch Yuanxing tire ensures maximum traction.
The change is radical: the bike is more stable, more predictable, and the grip is multiplied tenfold.
Upgrade #2: Extreme Reliability and Grip with Tubliss
To complement these new tires, we installed our favorite anti-puncture solution. While a rim lock and a reinforced inner tube in the front are sufficient for most uses, we installed the Tubliss system in the rear. It's a real revolution: this dual-chamber system allows you to ride at ultra-low pressures (for phenomenal grip) while locking the tire to the rim and almost completely eliminating the risk of pinch flats. This is the secret to bulletproof reliability.
Upgrade #3: Optimize the Cockpit
Some riders, especially taller ones, might feel a bit "cramped" on the E-Ride. A simple and free tip is to move the steering spacer that is located under the top triple clamp to above it. This raises the cockpit and improves the attack position. For the most demanding riders, we have developed a 3D seat riser that provides a 2.5 cm gain and improves the aesthetics of the bike (see Bonus).
Upgrade #4: "Made by JW Shop" Protection
To ensure your investment lasts, protection is key. We have therefore developed two specific parts, which we also offer to our customers with any E-Ride Pro purchase:
- The TPU frame bumpers, which protect the engine mounting tabs, highly exposed to impacts in enduro.
- The belt guard, which prevents dirt and stones thrown by the wheel from damaging the primary belt.
Upgrade #5: Tame the Beast with the Drivetrain
The E-Ride Pro SR has phenomenal power but can be a bit brutal at low revs. The stock 58-tooth sprocket favors torque at the expense of linearity. By switching to a 50-tooth sprocket, the throttle feel becomes much smoother and more enjoyable, without sacrificing power at high revs. This is the ideal setup for technical enduro. Don't forget to combine this change with a quality reinforced chain.
Bonus: The Little Extras That Make a Difference
To perfect the setup, a few details can be added. For those who want ultimate biting power, performance brake pads are an excellent choice. Aesthetically, our 3D seat riser integrates fins that slim down the bike's lines, and motocross-style side plates can give it an even more aggressive look.
Conclusion
With these few targeted modifications, the E-Ride Pro SR transforms into a formidable enduro machine, smoothing out its rare youthful flaws to leave only the pleasure of riding. You don't need to change everything, but each upgrade on this list brings a real benefit on the trail.
